Prior to the rollout of the Woodland Cammo BDU's in the 80's everyone wore at least Class B's on the daily. If you worked in an office, down to the company level, you wore Class B's as your duty uniform. The utility uniform was worn by soldiers doing training, working in the motor pool, cutting grass, sweeping shit up etc.
