The last one we borrowed from my good ...The Staccato P DPO is slightly larger than an M&P but smaller than other 1911 pistols. It has a Dawson toolless guide rod with 13lb recoil springs. Coming out of the box it has three stainless steel double stack magazines. It has been designed to keep the magazines from being inserted too far and causing issues that way.I already knew that liked the way the 2011 shot, so I chose the Staccato. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. I have tried and own both. If I'm only picking one it's staccato. The BUL is a fantastic gun but the propriety mags, lack of aftermarket etc put the staccato ahead. It will wreck the trigger job and possibly some of the internals. Also, don't let the hammer drop with the slide off while cleaning. The CZ has an enormous aftermarket as it's extremely popular in competition such as USPSA production class, there is also an optics-ready version.
